When a client books through Polemica — by phone, text, or web form — the appointment is created in Google Calendar automatically. Google Calendar integration is fundamental to how Polemica handles appointment booking. Without calendar integration, an AI can collect booking requests but can't check availability or create confirmed appointments — it becomes a message-taking system, which is a step backwards from autonomous booking.
How the integration works:
Polemica connects to your Google Calendar account via OAuth. It reads your calendar to determine available slots based on the hours you've configured as bookable. When a client calls or submits a booking request, Polemica presents available times, confirms the client's selection, and creates the appointment event in Google Calendar with the client's name, contact information, and service details.
The appointment appears in Google Calendar within seconds of confirmation. Your calendar updates immediately, so subsequent callers can't book the same slot. If you add a personal appointment manually in Google Calendar, Polemica respects that block and won't offer it to clients.
For businesses that use Google Calendar as their primary scheduling tool, the integration means no separate booking software is required. Polemica becomes the intake and booking layer that writes directly into the system you already use.
