AI for Real Estate
Real estate buyers take 3–12 months from first inquiry to purchase. AI follow-up sends timed messages throughout this cycle — checking on timeline, sharing relevant information, and staying present — so leads that went quiet don't go cold. Agents convert more of the leads they generate without manually tracking each prospect.
Real estate lead follow-up is notoriously difficult to do consistently. An agent may have 40–80 active leads in various stages of their buying or selling journey. Manually tracking each lead's timeline, reaching out at appropriate intervals, and adjusting the message based on their stage requires a CRM discipline most individual agents don't maintain.
AI follow-up sequences run automatically based on the lead's stage and the time elapsed since last contact. A buyer who inquired in January and is 'thinking about buying in spring' gets a message in March: 'Hi Sarah — checking in on your spring home search. The market in [area] has been interesting lately — happy to set up some showings or send you listings that match what you're looking for.' Relevant, timely, non-pushy.
For seller leads, the follow-up adjusts to seller readiness signals: a homeowner who requested a home evaluation but didn't list gets a quarterly market update ('Just wanted to share what homes in your area have been selling for this quarter — values have moved since we spoke'). When the homeowner decides to list, the agent who stayed in touch gets the call.
Common questions
Real estate lead follow-up can reasonably run for 12 months or longer for buyers with long timelines. The sequence should taper in frequency: weekly for the first month, bi-weekly for months 2–4, monthly for months 5–12. After 12 months without engagement, move to a quarterly market update rather than an active follow-up sequence. Opt-out must always be available.
